Alta Vista Cares: Toiletry, T-Shirt, and Sock Drive
Alta Vista's fall community service drive kicks off October 3 and runs through October 14. We are collecting socks, T-shirts and hygiene items for the unhoused community in the downtown San Jose area. Please drop off any new or gently used adult-sized socks and T-shirts and all kinds of hygiene items (shampoo, soap, body wash, face cloths - hotel-sized toiletries are welcome too) to the box outside the cafeteria any time between October 3-14. The items will directly benefit the most vulnerable in our community, so please contribute all you can. For more information on our partner agency, please visit od2020.com. Alta Vista Cares: Help Alta Vista Feed Local Families this Thanksgiving
Alta Vista is partnering again with the Cupertino De Anza Lions Club in its community-based Thanksgiving food drive to provide 170 boxes filled with Thanksgiving food items for local families in need and migrant farmworker families in the Watsonville area. Here is how you can help.
Update
Thanks to your support of our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Not only were we able to feed 170 local families, but we were also able to provide over 50 turkeys and many boxes of non-perishable items to Watsonville farm workers.
Alta Vista families and teachers alone sponsored 26 families and provided lots of donations of dry goods for our boxes. We also had volunteer support from Alta Vista families throughout this weekend and today as we gathered the donations, sorted and boxed, and delivered them to the recipients. |

Alta Vista Cares: Flood Victim Assistance
Please join the Alta Vista community in a drive for much-needed supplies for the victims of the flooding in the Pajaro and Watsonville areas. From April 19-28, we will be collecting the following:
Please drop off the clothing and blankets in the bins outside the cafeteria, and please drop off the cards and gift cards to Ms. Salina in the office.
